What We Believe Concerning The Holy Scriptures:
We believe in the absolute inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, given by the Person of the Holy Spirit without error, as He moved upon men of old. Furthermore, we believe that the Church (believers individually or corporately) has no authority to establish or practice doctrine which is contrary to these same Scriptures. The Holy Bible is the Word of God, written by men who were divinely inspired (breathed upon), by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is God's Word to us and is His revelation of Himself to mankind. Therefore, the Bible has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. The Bible is God’s living source of life, giving to us guidance and supreme wisdom.

Though written by man, it was produced under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is the truth, which sets men free. We believe in the divine, full, complete, not limited in any respect, and verbal inspiration of the Scriptures. This divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of the writings as they appeared in the original manuscripts and is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. Therefore, the whole Bible, in the originals, is without error. As the revelation of God, we believe the Bible to be the sole authority and sufficiency with regard to Christian faith and practice. Therefore the Bible is and will remain to the end of the world the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and religious opinions are tried. The Scriptures center upon the redemption of mankind through the Lord Jesus Christ in His person and work in His first and second coming. Therefore no portion is properly read, or understood, until it leads to the Lord Jesus Christ and God’s grace. The Christian's responsibility and duty is to handle accurately the Word of Truth. The reading and interpretation of the Scriptures is to be under the guidance and illumination of the Person of the Holy Spirit. The Book of the Bible cannot be understood without one knowing the author of the Book of the Bible.
1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
2. The Old Testament is a shadow of New Testament substance. Understanding the Old Testament brings proper understanding to the New Testament.
3. We believe all Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, form one Covenant and was given by inspiration of God as the writers were moved by the Holy Spirit and that these Scriptures are the only rule of faith and practice.
4. All that we believe has its basis in the entirety of the Scripture and the absolute truths that it contains. Absolutes are principles that stand alone.
5. The Holy Scripture is our highest authority for establishing doctrine, reproving, instructing, convicting of sin, correction of error, and training in righteousness.
6. The canon of Scripture was established prior to the universal church's fragmentation into what we know today as “denominations.” At the same time the Scriptures were written, the universal church was still an organic body, not an institution, culture, or organization.
